Jimmy Choux crowned NZ Horse of the Year

Jimmy Choux has been crowned NZ Horse of the Year.  The Thorn Park colt starred at the annual awards held in Hastings on Friday.

Jimmy Choux won the NZ Derby – 2000 Guineas double and he crossed the Tasman to claim another G1 in the Rosehill Guineas.  His sire Thorn Park stands at Windsor Park and his dam Cierzo is a daughter of LR Castletown Stakes winner Gale (Wild Rampage).

The awards were also a triumph for his owner-breeders Richard and Liz Wood of Chouxmaani Investments.  They also raced G1 Sydney Cup winner Count Chivas (Lord Ballina).
