Starry Eyed topped Friday’s Inglis Scone Broodmare Sale to the bid of Vin Cox Bloodstock agent Garry Cuddy. Offered by Coolmore Stud (as agent), she made $42,000 in foal to Henrythenavigator.
Cuddy also topped Day 1 of the Inglis Melbourne August Sale last Thursday with $40,000 for Choisir mare Shake Shake Shake.
Starry Eyed (Rock of Gibraltar) was a Moonee Valley winner and is a daughter of G1 winning mare Starstruck (Haulpak). Her 22 year-old dam was also catalogued for the Scone Sale and made $7,000 to a NSW buyer.
Danehill mare Magical Roma, carrying a positive test to Widden sire Northern Meteor, brought the day’s second highest lot at $30,000.
Overall, 112 mares changed hands for $458,350 at a strong clearance rate of 87%.
