Keeneland Day 9 – Yes It’s True leads trade for Chimneys Farm

A colt by Three Chimneys Farm sire Yes It’s True brought a final bid of $220,000 to lead proceedings on Day 9 at the Keeneland September yearling sale.

The Kentucky-bred is a son of Wadena (Saint Ballado) and was purchased by agent James Kasparoff.  His second dam Ammy Hils (Bounding Basque) won the G3 Busher Hcp at Aqueduct.

Next best on the leader-board was a First Defence colt knocked down to Juddmonte Farms for $200,000.  Forego (Unbridled’s Song) was a G1 winner of the Forego Hcp and stands at Juddmonte’s Lexington base.  Equus Farms sold the colt who is from stakes-placed mare Chanceisalady (American Chance) and hails from the family of English champion Zilzal (Nureyev).

Keeneland reported 302 horses sold on Wednesday for $8.22 million.  The average rose 23% to $27,245 while the median rose 33% to $20,000.
