All American has had his first mare scanned in foal in Kentucky. The G1 VRC Emirates Stakes winner shuttles from Arrowfield to Darby Dan Farm in Lexington.
All American is the only Group winning juvenile from the Roberto sireline active in Kentucky. His dam Milva is a half-sister to G1 winning sire Rock Hard Ten.
Erin’s Golden Star (Cat Thief) is his first mare in foal. She was a debut winner at two and followed up with a second to subsequent G1 winner Bsharpsonata in the LR Irish Sonnet Stakes in Delaware.
All American (5h Red Ransom – Milva by Strawberry Road) is relatively free of Northern Dancer blood. He was bred by John Singleton’s Strawberry Hill Stud and was originally purchased by Lindsay Park agent Mark Pilkington for $220,000 at the 2007 Gold Coast Magic Millions.
All American sailed past Cox Plate winner So You Think to score a tremendous victory in the 2009 Emirates Stakes clocking a brilliant 1.33.98s for 1600m.
John Messara was delighted when Darby Dan owner John Phillips approached Arrowfield about shuttling All American. “Darby Dan bred, raced and stood his paternal grandsire Roberto,” Messara explained. “John has a deep understanding of this great outcross sireline and shares our faith in All American’s ability to transmit its best qualities.
“Everything about All American, including his name, made him the perfect pioneer of the reverse shuttle to the United States.”
