Larneuk sells Legion to South Australia

Former Larneuk Stud sire Legion has transferred to Oakbank Estate Stud in South Australia.  The son of Redoute’s Choice is a half-brother to G1 racehorse and sire General Nediym.

Legion has sired 14 winners of 25 races since Foreign Christmas got him off the mark at Terang in 2009.  His winning strike-rate is 31%.

Legion was trained by Lee Freedman and won his maiden on debut at Sale in August 2004.  He was retired after being injured in the G2 Gloaming Stakes at Rosehill later that year.

Oakbank Estate Stud will stand Legion for a $2,200 service fee.
