Lower stud fees at Lincoln Farm

The service fees for Lincoln Farm stallions Ready’s Image (USA) and Krupt have been reduced for 2011.

Lincoln Farm principal Nick Posa recognized the prevailing market-place concerning Australian nomination prices when setting their fees.

Ready’s Image (More Than Ready) will cover his third southern hemisphere book at $6,600 while Krupt (Flying Spur) will stand his second season at $5,500.

The first Ready’s Image weanlings met with strong demand in North America last year including a colt that topped the penultimate session of the Keeneland November Sale.

Krupt was a G2 winner of the STC Todman Slipper Stakes defeating, amongst others, G1 MRC Blue Diamond Stakes winner Reaan.  The Todman Slipper honour-roll includes such luminaries like Charge Forward, Exceed And Excel, General Nediym, Maurauding, Crown Jester and Luskin Star.

Krupt’s younger half-sister Anevay (Exceed And Excel) improved the family’s pedigree with a Listed victory in the VRC Talindert Stakes at Flemington earlier this year.

Posa is tremendously upbeat about the coming season and the opportunities his two stallions now present.  “We are absolutely determined to give Ready’s Image and Krupt every chance to succeed and if it means making a sizeable cut from last year’s fees, then so be it.

“The timing of Ready’s Image’s reduction could hardly be better for local broodmare owners.  The More Than Ready breed continues to thrive in Australia and clearly the young stallion has a very bright future in the United States going on his very pleasing weanling sale results.”

Posa also believes the adjustment to Krupt’s introductory price takes some beating.  “We honestly thought that Krupt was one of the best priced stallions commencing stud duties in 2010 and the reduction makes him unbelievable value in 2011.”
