Yarraman Park has enjoyed a phenomenal season with prolific winner-getter Magic Albert and he is all but booked out for 2011. He will stand at a fee of $16,500 (inc. gst) this year.
His leading runners this season have been G1 Randwick Guineas winner Ilovethiscity and G2 Royal Sovereign Stakes winner Master Harry.
Magic Albert (Zeditave) grabbed his first Group 1 winner when Magic Cape was successful in the 2006 NZ 2000 Guineas. His first Australian Group 1 arrived this time last year when Albert The Fat scored a thrilling victory in the BTC Cup at Doomben.
The Yarraman resident broke through the 200 individual winner barrier when Bingo Rose scored a four length victory at the Gold Coast on February 12. His winners are saluting at a 64% strike rate.
Brilliant sprinter I Am Invincible, the only son of champion European sire Invincible Spirit at stud in Australia, was extremely popular with breeders last spring covering 133 mares in his debut season. He remains at the same fee of $11,000.
I Am Invincible won by five lengths on debut at Warwick Farm in February 2008 and, after transferring south, won by four lengths at Caulfield in March 2009. He then crossed the border to beat star filly Augusta Proud in the G3 Evright Stakes at Morphettville.
Pitched in at G1 level against Takeover Target in the Goodwood Hcp, he led from the start and was gallant in defeat when overhauled by Joe Janiak’s champion sprinter.
Returning to Melbourne, I Am Invincible won the Listed Monash Stakes at Caulfield and connections had the G1 Hong Kong Sprint in their sights before injury forced him into a premature retirement.
The first runners for South American champion Trotamondo (Chi) will hit the racetracks next season and the son of Hussonet is reduced this year to $7,700. His initial yearlings sold up to $100,000 at the 2011 majors.
