Magic Millions dominates Gai Waterhouse Classic

Kryptelon boosted her broodmare value when she led home a Magic Millions trifecta in the Listed Gai Waterhouse Classic at Ipswich on Saturday.  The Falvelon mare stormed home to beat Beyonce’s Star (Orientate) and Paprika (General Nediym).

Kryptelon (5m Falvelon – Krypto Katie by Cryptoclearance) has been a great money spinner for connections considering she cost senior part owner Bruce Peterson just $18,000 from the Glenlogan Park draft at the 2006 Gold Coast Magic Millions QTIS 600 Sale.  The Eye Liner sent her earnings past $215,000.

“She’s been knocking on the door in these big races,” trainer David Kelly said.  “She had always been run her off her legs in 1000m races but she was able to stay in touch this time.  She will most likely have her next run in the Ramornie Handicap in Grafton in three weeks.  It’s my home town and I’d love to win the race.”

Glenlogan Park’s proven winner-getter Falvelon got her from a USA bred mare Krypto Katie who won three races from 1100m to 1600m and was also stakes placed in Chicago.  She has a weanling colt by Barely a Moment and was bred back to the Lindsay Park sire late last year.
