Adelaide Magic Millions graduates continued their winning run in Singapore and Macau last weekend.
One More Minute (Iglesia) made it three wins from four runs when he rattled home to win over 1600m at Kranji. He was a $42,000 buy from Kirkliston Stud in 2009.
“He was very short in the betting and I must admit I had my heart in my mouth a couple of times during the race,” trainer Steven Burridge said. “He was under pressure on the turn, but responded really well and gives the impression he will develop into a nice stayer.”
Meanwhile, Macau star Northern Champion enhanced his impressive race record for trainer Vincent Chong.
A son of Willow Grove Stud based sire Mugharreb, Northern Champion has built up a 7: 5-2-0 record after being purchased for just $2,250 by Jenny Gow-Whyte in 2009. The gelding was bred and sold by Riverside Stud.
Gow-Whyte sold the youngster privately after he ran an eye catching second in a Morphettville trial. He is the second winner produced by unraced Ascot Knight mare Ascot Prancer.
