A Midnight Lute filly brought top price of $110,000 at the Ocala Breeders’ Florida yearling sale on Tuesday.
The sole select session averaged $38,009 which was up 6% from last year. The median jumped 30% to $34,000 and the clearance remained steady at 74%.
The Midnight Lute filly out of stakes-placed Wasted Wisdom (Gold Fever) is a half sister to millionaire Desert Code. She was consigned by Woodford Thoroughbreds and was purchased by SGV Thoroughbreds.
Midnight Lute (Real Quiet) was a dual G1 winner of the Breeders’ Cup Sprint at Monmouth Park (2007) and Santa Anita (2008). He stands at Hill ‘N’ Dale Farms and his first crop are yearlings.
