Makybe Diva foaled a magnificent Lonhro colt on Tuesday morning.  It’s the first time the Melbourne Cup legend has foaled down at Tony Santic’s Victorian nursery.

Santic and his wife Deslee report the mare and foal are both doing well at Makybe in Gnarwarre.  The colt weighed in at 52kg.

Makybe Diva’s progeny include 4yo horse Rockstardom (Galileo) who is in training with Danny O’Brien, 3yo filly La Dolce Diva (Fusaichi Pegasus) with Mark Kavanagh and a new-season 2yo colt by Encosta De Lago.

The Santics as yet haven’t decided Makybe Diva’s mate this season.
