Kiwi bred mare Black Mamba will start an odds-on favourite win the Thoroughbred Owners of California Hcp (LR) at Del Mar on Friday.

The Black Minnaloushe mare is one of six fillies and mares entered for the $85,000 event.

Black Mamba won the G2 Beverly Hills Hcp at her penultimate start but disappointed last time out in the Beverly D. Stakes (G1) at Arlington on August 8.
