Manton making headway at Tareena Stud

Former Darley resident Manton sired the third winner from his first-crop when Bizarre Clarice was successful in the Cessnock Supporters Club Maiden (1150m) on Tuesday.

Bizarre Clarice (2f Manton – Kalalycia by Kala Dancer) is trained by Steve Farley and is a stablemate of recent G1 Stradbroke Hcp winner Sincero.  She won by over a length on debut from Morning Gleam (King Cugat) and Midnight Reigns (Holy Roman Emperor).

Manton stands for a $5,000 fee at Ian McRobert’s Tareena Stud in NSW alongside Killy (Redoute’s Choice) and Floral Dynamite (Danehill).

His first winner arrived in December when Graskop saluted at Sandown Hillside.  Allgraceful made it two at Cranbourne in May and his brilliant filly Disputes was also stakes placed in the LR Gimcrack Stakes at Randwick.

Manton (Danehill) is a brother to top West Australian sire Blackfriars and was a G2 winner of the 2006 Tulloch Stakes at Rosehill.

His Cessnock winner is from Kalalycia who won five races up to 2100m.  The dam is a half-sister to LR Hawkesbury Guineas winner Sweet Marmalade (Marwina).
