Shadai Stallion Station signs Casino Drive

Casino Drive has been retired and will stand at the Shadai Stallion Station in Japan.

The son of Mineshaft won four races in Japan and was second in the G1 February Stakes at Tokyo for trainer Kazuo Fujisawa.  Sent to the USA, he was a G2 winner of the 2009 Peter Pan Stakes in New York defeating Willow Grove sire Mint Lane.

Casino Drive (6h Mineshaft – Better Than Honour by Deputy Minister) was a $950,000 Keeneland September yearling purchase for Nobutaka Tada.  He is a half-brother to Belmont Stakes winning duo Rags To Riches and Jazil and Breeders’ Cup Marathon winner Man of Iron.

Better Than Honour is a half-sister to the dam of G1 Criterium International winner Thewayyouare (Kingmambo).  He retired to Coolmore’s Ashford Stud in Kentucky last year.
