Mawingo set for Sydney autumn carnival

Australian Bloodstock has purchased promising German colt Mawingo ahead of the Sydney autumn carnival.

Mawingo (3c Tertullian – Montfleur by Sadler´s Wells) has shown plenty of potential this year winning the G3 Bavarian Classic (2000m) at Munich in May before going on to run an excellent fourth in the G1 German Derby (2400m).

Mawingo was previously trained by Jens Hirschberger and he will join the stable of Anthony Freedman as Australian Bloodstock seeks to replicate the partnership that saw Lucas Cranach excel during the spring carnival.

Australian Bloodstock has built an enviable record with a growing team of Group and Listed class horses this season the calibre of Master of Design, Lucas Cranach, Uate, Cardinal Virtue and Latin News.
