Ad man John Singleton knows how to sell a product better than anyone else in the media.

Singo is a More Than Ready fanatic and he had plenty of opportunities to praise Vinery’s champion sire while his mare More Joyous won 10 races in a row in Sydney plus the G1 Toorak Hcp and G1 Futurity Stakes in Melbourne.

“Life’s easy, really,” Singo said after the 2010 Toorak.  “You buy a More Than Ready…and they send you the cheques.”

More Joyous will have a light spring carnival this year culminating in the G1 Myer Stakes on the first day of the Flemington carnival.

Dreamaway (4m More Than Ready – Legal Consent by Danehill) is also targeting the Myer.  A G1 winner of the WA Derby, she is a homebred for Bob Peters who is in the Grand Final for More Than Ready’s biggest fan.

Peters is also a salesman of the first order having run Perth’s premier BMW franchise since the 1980s.

Dreamaway is value plus at $17 for this Saturday’s Toorak Hcp at Caulfield and Peters has another future star by More Than Ready going around later in the day Belmont Park.

Rafferty (4g More Than Ready – Miss Margaret by Marscay)  will start a short-priced favourite in the Perth Saints F.C. Hcp.  He will need to win and win well to warrant a nomination for the G1 Railway Stakes at Ascot on November 19.

Peters also has Ranger getting ready for a tilt at the $1 million mile on Super Saturday after a first-up victory at Belmont last Saturday.

Ranger is by Vinery sire Testa Rossa and his best run at last year’s summer carnival was a head second to God Has Spoken in the G3 R.J. Peters Stakes.  

Peters unveiled another eye-catching More Than Ready galloper at Belmont on Wednesday when Dark Miss broke through at her second start in the Westspeed Hcp.

Dark Miss (3f More Than Ready – Dark Amber by Marscay) was so impressive, Peters might be tempted to throw the dice and start her in the LR Burgess Queen Stakes (1400m) at Ascot on October 29.

Peters banked $13,000 when Dark Miss flashed home on Wednesday and, just like Singo, they will be sending him more cheques with more zeroes courtesy of More Than Ready.
