Champion sire More Than Ready heads the 2011 Vinery Stud roster at a $99,000 service fee.

Already a Champion 2YO sire in Australia, More Than Ready was also Champion 2YO Sire in the USA last year.  The last stallion to be a Champion Sire in both hemispheres was Danehill.

“We believe the Vinery roster continues to provide high quality proven and emerging young stallions,” Vinery’s Peter Orton said.  “There’s a variety of bloodlines to best suit our broodmare bands and they offer breeders every opportunity for a fair return.”

New to Vinery this season is Congrats who was the 2010 Champion First Season Sire of the USA.  By one of the great sire of sires in A.P. Indy, Congrats produced a multitude of winners from his first crop last year including two individual G1 winners among 15 Stakes performers

“Proven stallions are the essence of what makes up a stallion roster,” Orton continued.   “It takes time and class for any stallion to achieve this and to have been able to acquire a stallion of the calibre of Congrats is most exciting.  He is the most magnificent looking stallion and as a result has produced high quality stock.”
