South Australian agent Adrian Hancock has joined Magic Millions as an Adelaide based consultant. He replaces Chris Russell who will begin working for Inglis after returning from Europe next week.
Hancock began his bloodstock career under legendary Adelaide based agent David Coles and spent a significant period with both ABCOS and Magic Millions at Morphettville before establishing Hancock Quality Bloodstock in 2002.
At this year’s SATB Awards, Hancock was presented with the State’s most prestigious industry recognition, the Matrice Award. “I look forward to working on a consultancy basis to build the Adelaide Sale,” he said. “I think I can bring stability, recognition and create a niche market-place for breeders and buyers.”
Hancock’s appointment at Magic Millions follows those of fellow new recruits David Houston (WA) and Paul Beamish (NSW).
Meanwhile, Julian Blaxland will take up an extended role with the company over the coming months. A well known face at Magic Millions auctions on the Gold Coast, Blaxland will become an integral member of its inspection team with preparations well underway for the major yearling sales in 2013.
Gold Coast based Tom Inglis has also taken up a full time position with Magic Millions as a bloodstock consultant. He has gained experience at studs and stables in Australia and overseas and has been working part time for the company since September last year.
