Sagamix mare Nickelle topped the Arqana February Sale in Deauville on Monday. She was sold to Thierry Delegue’s Yes Agency for 85,000 euros.
Nickelle was the highlight of the Sylvie Wildenstein dispersal. She was a stakes winner of the Prix Wild Monarch and is a direct descendant of Daniel Wildenstein’s foundation mare Neomenie.
Nickelle’s dam N’Avoue Jamais won the Prix Alain du Breil and her half-brother Nickname was a top-class chaser. N’Avoue Jamais is also the dam of another Prix Wild Monarch winner in N’Oublie Jamais.
Nickelle’s close relation New Saga (Sagamix) realised the second highest price, selling for 70,000 euros to Meridian International.
