No mistakes with More Than Ready

Champion Vinery sire More Than Ready needs no introduction to buyers at the Magic Millions.

His 2009 Magic Millions 2YO Classic winner Phelan Ready doubled up in the G1 Golden Slipper and Vinery has another More Than Ready that will be popular with buyers like Gai Waterhouse at this week’s sale.

His filly from Aleesar (Lot 441) is a three-quarter sister to the Waterhouse trained flyer Dance Hero who completed the Magic Millions – Golden Slipper double in 2004.

“There’s no mistaking she’s a More Than Ready,” Vinery’s Adam White said at the sales complex on Monday.  “There’s Magic Millions Classic written all over her.”

Vinery will also be selling the last of the Red Ransoms including the colt from Vignor (Lot 403).  “The dam was a stakes winner in Adelaide and he’s big and strong” White said.  “He won’t be an early two year-old but has been very popular since arriving here.”

White circled Lot 69 as one of the leaders among Vinery’s consignment of 26 yearlings.  “She’s a lovely mover by Dubawi and is a real show-off.  She’s tough, too – just like the dam (Lady Atire) who earned black-type in New Zealand and Australia.”

There will also be several prospective buyers on Vinery’s colt by Hussonet from Group 1 winner Lotteria (Lot 92).  “The Hussonets are going extra well this season,” White noted.  “Ours is the first colt from the mare and he’s a powerful individual.”

Arrowfield transferred Hussonet to Cornerstone Stud in South Australia last year.  His current crop of yearlings were conceived on the back of Horse of the Year Weekend Hussler and Blue Diamond Stakes winner Reaan.
