(NZ) bred mare all Power

Kiwi bred mare Power O’Raylee continued her winning streak this summer in the Jezabeel Hcp (2000m) at Flemington on Saturday.

Power O’Raylee (4m O’Reilly – La Banca by Grosvenor) won a Mornington maiden in November and then added extras at Caulfield and Sandown in December prior to spacing her rivals at headquarters.  She is trained by Peter Moody for Power Racing Stables.

Bred by Keith Neylon, she was the top priced lot at NZ Bloodstock’s 2009 South Island 2YO Sale.  Agent John Foote bought her from Grange Farm for $95,000 and she has now earned $130,000.

O’Reilly has 68 yearlings at the NZB National Yearling Sales Series, with 57 in the Premier Sale including:

Lot 394 – Half-brother to the Group 1 VRC Derby winner Amalfi (Carnegie) from the Centaine mare Rationaine.  The O’Reilly – Centaine cross has produced 17 individual stakes winners.

Lot 514 – Brother to stakes winner Salsa and a half-brother to the stakes winners Somepin Anypin (Pins) and Rule of Engagement (Danasinga).

Trent Busuttin purchased Power O’Raylee’s younger half-brother Hamacho (Red Ransom) at the NZB Ready to Run Sale in November for $230,000.

New Zealand Bloodstock’s 2012 National Yearling Sales Series is set to commence on Monday, January 30 at 10am.  For news and sales information visit www.nzb.co.nz
