Perth filly fronts for Bonus

Premardal has struck a purple-patch of form with front-running victories in her last two starts at the Ascot summer carnival.  She blitzed her rivals in the LR Jungle Dawn Classic on November 27 and gave them another bath in the Listed Starstruck Classic on Saturday.

The Shamardal mare will claim a $100,000 bonus if she wins the La Trice Classic at Ascot on December 22.  “It goes without saying she will go on to the La Trice,” trainer Todd Harvey said.  “Clint (Harvey) rated her well and we’re very happy with the win.”

Premardal (4m Shamardal – Prestigious by Rainbow Crest) is from an unraced three-quarter sister to G1 winning sires Arazi (Blushing Groom) and Noverre (Rahy).

She is a Darley homebred and was sold by Swettenham Sud for $135,000 at the 2008 Inglis Melbourne Premier yearling sale.  Shamardal has a yearling sister to the Perth winner and he will be represented by 13 lots at the upcoming Gold Coast Magic Millions.

Shamardal has sired 24 stakes winners this year including the G1 winners in Captain Sonador, Casamento, Faint Perfume and Lope de Vega.  He stands at Darley Kelvinside at a fee of $66,000 (inc gst).
