Pluck is proving to be an incredibly fertile stallion as the first 15-day pregnancy confirmations of the season begin to arrive at Vinery’s Hunter Valley headquarters.
A replica of his sire More Than Ready, the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile winner is relishing the switch from racetrack to breeding barn. “His first 8 mares have all scanned in foal,” Vinery’s Adam White said. “He has been fully booked for a few weeks now and has attracted a quality book of mares.”
Pluck won 3 of his 7 starts including an unforgettable triumph in the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile (Turf) where he came from a seemingly hopeless position after being disrupted by a fallen horse going around the first turn.
Pluck’s first three dams are all stakes winners and More Than Ready has sired an ever growing list of over 100 individual stakes winners as well as being the sire of several promising sire sons around the globe.
