The Oaks Stud shuttler Sakhee’s Secret is off to a flyer at stud and bookmakers have shortened him into a $1.25 favourite for Europe’s first-season sire award in the winners’ category.
Sakhee’s Secret sired a double on Wednesday with Secret Recipe (Listowel) and Stiff Upper Lip (Kempton) to increase his overall tally in Britain and Ireland to 15 winners. He has established a substantial lead over New Approach ($4.50) and Sixties Icon ($13) who are both on 8 winners.
Sakhee’s Secret shuttles from Whitsbury Manor Stud to The Oaks Stud. He was a G1 winner of the 2007 Newmarket July Cup and stands for a $12,000 fee in NZ. His first Kiwi bred yearlings will be catalogued for the 2013 Karaka Sale.
