Pray To God – Bred to Win – Tuesday, 15 December 2009

You can do a lot worse than following Stravinsky fillies and the Coolmore shuttler will be represented by first-starter Pray To God in the Chemdry Riverina Maiden (Race 2 at 2.05pm AEDT) at Wagga this afternoon.

Pray To God (4m Stravinsky – Run For Roses by Danehill) is prepared by leading Canberra trainer Nick Olive and she was an impressive barrier trial winner at her home track on December 1.

Her dam Run For Roses is an unraced sister to G1 SAJC Goodwood Hcp winner Keeper who stands alongside Stravinsky at Cambridge Stud in New Zealand.  Run For Roses is also a half-sister to the dam of Metal Bender (Danasinga), a G1 winner of the AJC Randwick Guineas and STC Rosehill Guineas.

Pray To God was passed-in for $140,000 at the 2007 Inglis Easter yearling sale and now races for the Redbank North Syndicate.
