Prince Sabo put down at Cheveley Park

Prince Sabo was put down at Cheveley Park Stud in Newmarket on Tuesday.  He was 29.

During a racing career which spanned three seasons, his most notable victories came in the G2 Flying Childers Stakes and G3 Palace House Stakes.

Prince Sabo (Young Generation) retired to stud in 1987 and quickly established himself as a source of tough and consistent sprinters that won over 680 races.  His best were G2 Mill Reef Stakes winner Princely Hush and G3 winners Fire Up The Band and Tippitt Boy.

In Australia, Prince Sabo was represented by two winners from two starters.  Domeland owned galloper Keyhinge Boy won twice at Canterbury in 1995 and his only other runner out here was three-time Coffs Harbour winner Social Jack.
