Banchory Stud stallion Seidnazar sired his first QTIS 600 bonus winner at the Sunshine Coast on Thursday

Seideliner (2f Seidnazar – Lindoni by Keltrice) scored by two lengths in the Yalumba Wines 2YO Maiden from My Mate Sully (Danasinga) and Make A Deal (Salt Lake City).  She collected $13,500 in bonuses for connections and local trainer Frank Crick.   

Seidnazar (Rory’s Jester) transferred from Riverdene Stud in NSW to Banchory Stud last year.  The historic Darling Downs nursery is owned by Richard and Mary Lee Trivett and they introduced him at a $7,700 service fee.

The Trivetts also raced Seidnazar and they didn’t have to think twice when the opportunity arose to stand him at Banchory.  

Seidnazar was trained by Peter Moody and was a precocious individual winning the Listed MVRC St Albans Stakes (1000m) at Moonee Valley on Cox Plate day in 2004.  He returned in the autumn and finished second to Undoubtedly in the G1 MRC Blue Diamond Stakes.

His first crop of two year-olds in 2009-10 included Wellington Boot winner Derippa.  She is part-owned by the Trivetts and was also placed at Rosehill behind class filly Ambers Waltz.

Superior Thoroughbred will sell a half-sister to Seideliner as agent for Banchory Stud at the Magic Millions QTIS 600 Sale this Sunday.  The Sequalo filly has been catalogued as Lot 262.

Seideliner was conceived in NSW but became eligible for the Sunshine Coast bonus when the Trivetts took advantage of the ‘breed-back’ option available in the QTIS scheme.
