Quality catalogue for NZ Bloodstock Winter Sale

Supplementary entries for the NZ Bloodstock Winter Sale at Karaka this Friday are now available to be viewed online.

The supplementary entries include Savabeel stakes winner Queen Sabeel.  Other well-bred late entries are Grandissima, a half-sister to the G1 winner The Mighty Lions and Potent Lady, a half-sister to G1 winning mare Miss Potential.

The quality catalogue of 96 lots includes a number of highly attractive mares available to breeders for the 2011 season.  The line up boasts mares by Zabeel, Star Way, Red Ransom and New Zealand’s own Champion broodmare sire Centaine.

They have been covered by up-and-coming sires young sires like Alamosa (Lot 43), Red Giant (Lots 19 & 24), Sakhee’s Secret (Lots 16, 74 & 90), Sir Percy (Lot 36) and Swice Ace (Lot 7).

Proven stallions with mares in foal include New Zealand’s Champion sire Thorn Park (Lot 8), Keeper (Lots 9, 25 & 37), Pentire (Lot 13), Darci Brahma (Lot 20), Bachelor Duke (Lots 33, 39, 82 & 89) and Don Eduardo (Lot 14).

Stakes winning mares for sale include G2 winner Naturo and stakes producing mares include Diamond Babe, the dam of the G2 Phar Lap Stakes winner Blackie, Irish Nassie, the dam of the Group 3 winner Keepin’ The Dream and Kinjinette, the dam of the international Group 1 winner Sight Winner.

Pins mare Classy Bawn (Lot 60) will be a feature.  She is out of a Sadler’s Wells mare and hails from the G1 family of NZ sire Thewayyouare (Kingmambo).

The catalogue does not let down on the racing front either with yearlings, two-year-olds and racehorses by the likes of Commands, Iffraaj and Perfectly Ready.
