Queen Sabeel supplemented for NZB Winter Sale

Stakes winning mare Queen Sabeel is the latest supplementary entry for the NZ Bloodstock Winter Sale at the Karaka sales complex on August 5.

Queen Sabeel (4m Savabeel – Vanessatheundressa by Carnegie) is being offered on account of Dormello Stud (as agent) as Lot 73.  A winner of five races, she won a juvenile maiden over 1200m at Te Rapa before stepping up to take the Listed Northland Breeders Stakes over the same trip at Whangarei.

The mare is one of 9 individual stakes winners for her sire Savabeel.  His winning strike-rate is almost 60% highlighted by G1 Queensland Oaks winner Scarlett Lady.

Queen Sabeel is one of five stakes winning or stakes producing mares to be offered at the NZB Winter Mixed Bloodstock Sale.  Other black-type mares include:

Lot 60 – Classy Bawn (Pins).  A daughter of Sadler’s Wells mare Silver and Roses.  Second-dam Blush with Pride (Blushing Groom) was a G1 winner of the Kentucky Oaks.  She is the dam or grand-dam of G1 winners including Rags to Riches (A.P. Indy), Jazil (Seeking the Gold), Peeping Fawn (Danehill) and Thewayyouare (Kingmambo) who stood his first Southern Hemisphere season at Windsor Park Stud last season.  

Lot 19 – Diamond Babe (Stravinsky).  Dam of the G2 Phar Lap Stakes winner Blackie (Black Minnaloushe).

Lot 24 – Irish Nassie (Nassipour).  Dam of the G3 winner Keepin’ the Dream (Keeper).  Served by Red Giant.

Lot 28 – Kinjinette (Kinjite).  Dam of the international G1 winner Sight Winner (Faltaat).  Served by Faltaat.

Lot 36 – Naturo (Postponed).  G2 winning 2yo served by Sir Percy.
