A Kheleyf colt produced the quickest breeze-up for the Magic Millions National Horses in Training Sale on Monday.
The Gold Coast gallops were the first of four days of breeze-ups prior to the HIT Sale on October 21 and November 1.
Attunga Stud’s Kheleyf colt clocked 10.24 seconds. Kheleyf (Green Desert) was represented by more winners than any other stallion in the 2008 European first-season sire championship but only shuttled to Darley’s Australian base for one season.
His HIT Sale colt (Lot 33) is a chestnut from Autumn Belle (Bellotto) and is a half-brother to Adelaide black-type sprinter Shadrach.
Some 128 two-year-olds were put through their paces on a track with plenty of give in the ground on Monday. The next session of breeze ups will be held at Seymour on Wednesday (Sept 19) followed by Warwick Farm next Monday (Sept 24) and Gold Coast (Oct 29).
