Raheen Stud a Force at Rosehill

Raheen Stud graduate Atomic Force is racing better than ever for Darren Smith.  The Newcastle based trainer is recovering from a broken leg but his gallopers are firing on all cylinders.

Atomic Force (5g Danehill Dancer – Show Of Force by Luskin Star) followed up a Warwick Farm victory on March 5 with Listed victory in the Maurice McCarten Stakes to close out the Coolmore Stakes card at Rosehill on Saturday.

“Atomic Force has always promise a lot and Darren has got him going really well,” winning jockey Tim Clark explained.  “He races best when nice and fresh over short trips.”

Dean Watt’s Dynamic Syndications purchased the winner for $50,000 from Raheen Stud at the 2007 Gold Coast Magic Millions yearling sale.  The Rosehill win sent his earnings past $385,000.

Coolmore shuttler Danehill Dancer sired him from Sydney stakes performer Show Of Force.  She was placed in the 1995 G1 AJC Sires’ Produce Stakes, G2 Magic Night Stakes and G3 Sweet Embrace Stakes.  Second dam Reinforce (Bates Motel) is a half-sister to five-time G1 winner Encounter.

Show Of Force has a 2yo colt by deceased Raheen Stud sire Shovhog and she foaled a Hidden Dragon filly last year.

Raheen Stud’s new signing Captain Sonador will have his final lead-up for G1 Doncaster Mile in the G1 George Ryder Stakes at Rosehill on April 2.  The Shamardal stallion was carrying excess condition when unplaced in bottomless ground at the Gold Coast on Saturday.
