Reaan filly wins Clockwise Classic

I’m Too Sexy notched a couple of firsts when cruising home to a three length victory in the inaugural Magic Millions Clockwise Classic (1000m) at Ballarat on Sunday.

The speedy Victorian filly won the first clockwise race in Victoria in over 65 years and she also registered the first win for Cornerstone Stud based sire Reaan.

Trainer Mark Riley said the $2 million Magic Millions 2YO Classic at the Gold Coast on January 12 is the main mission for his filly.  “We know she’s a very good filly,” Riley said.  “She has a great attitude and is just a real racehorse.”

I’m Too Sexy (2f Reaan – Duchess Cara by Quest for Fame) was always in control and had no trouble handling the reverse direction in the $200,000 feature.  She led home Ticket to Toorak (Northern Meteor) and Gracious Prospect (Tale of the Cat) who filled the minors.

A $30,000 buy from Summerset Park Stud at the 2012 Adelaide Magic Millions, I’m Too Sexy is a younger half-sister to stablemate Stralia (Stratum) who was runner-up to Snitzerland in the G2 Danehill Stakes at Flemington in September.

Reaan (Hussonet) is based alongside his own sire at Cornerstone Stud.  He was a G1 winner of the 2008 Blue Diamond Stakes defeating All American and stands for a $9,900 (inc gst) fee.
