Mick Price has a strong hand at Caulfield today and, despite not having a runner in the Cup, he can still play a big hand in some of the support races.
Rightfully Yours, who is engaged in Race 5 at 2.00pm, was gallant in defeat last start at Flemington when he spotted Raheeb 1.5kg. His stablemate franked the form with a game fourth to Allez Wonder in last Saturday’s G1 Toorak Handicap (1600m).
Rightfully Yours (5g Show A Heart-Academy of Dreams by Royal Academy) is an older brother to Price’s dual Group 1 winner Heart of Dreams. Already a Listed winner, Rightfully Yours will be out to emulate his younger brother when he tackles the G1 Emirates Stakes (1600m) on the last day of the Flemington carnival. “He is such an honest galloper and I would dearly love to win a Group 1 with him,” Price said.
Rightfully Yours looks to have everything in his favour at Caulfield. He returns to his home track, drops back to 1200m where his record stands at nine starts for four wins and he has drawn to get the perfect run from barrier three.
