Former top apprentice Sebastian Murphy made a low-key return to riding on Saturday at Bendigo following a lengthy stint on the sidelines with a back injury.
Murphy looks to have a solid chance of returning to the winner’s stall aboard Ring My Bel (R1 at 1.00pm) at Warrnambool on Monday.
Desperately unlucky at his past three starts, Ring My Bel has his hoof on the till and can go one better this afternoon.
Ring My Bel (5g Bel Esprit-Smoke There’s Fir by Sober Star) was passed in at the 2006 Inglis Melbourne Autumn Sale. He is a younger half brother to winning sprinter Rustic Fire (Rustic Amber).
