Inglis graduates will head to Flemington with undeniable claims to clean sweep the spring classics following the impressive wins by Shamoline Warrior and Run For Naara at Caulfield on Saturday.

Inglis graduates Starspangledbanner (Choisir) and Irish Lights (Fastnet Rock) captured the Caulfield Guineas – Thousand Guineas double last week and another two classic contenders emerged on Cup day.

Shamoline Warrior (3c Shamardal – Picholine by Dehere) was a $60,000 buy out of the 2008 Inglis Melbourne Premier sale and he was a dominant winner of the G3 Norman Robinson Stakes.  His older half-brother Rebel Raider (Reset) completed the Norman Robinson – Victoria Derby double last year.

The Mark Kavanagh trained colt is now a warm favourite for the Victoria Derby on October 31.  He was bred by South Australia’s Toorak Park Stud and is from Picholine, who was sold at the 2003 Inglis Australian Broodmare Sale by Macquarie Stud as agent for $160,000.

The mare’s Exceed And Excel filly was sold through the Mill Park draft to Shadwell Australia for $300,000 at this year’s Inglis Easter yearling sale.

Patinack Farm owned filly Run For Naara will be the filly to beat in the VRC Oaks going on her easy win over 2000m at Caulfield.  She was a $150,000 buy at the 2008 Easter yearling sale.

Run For Naara (More Than Ready) was offered for sale by Evergreen Stud Farm, as agent for Domitor Stud.  The filly has already proven adept at Flemington, having won the Listed Gibson Carmichael Stakes over 1600m at heaquarters last season.
