Darley stallion Nadeem sired his second winner when Triple Asset scored a one length win in The Tote Handicap in Hobart on Sunday.
Triple Asset (2f Nadeem – Caralowe by Hennessy) was always in contention and packed too many punches to defeat More Awesome (More Than Ready) and Oxy Angel (West Quest).
The John Keys-trained filly was bred by Armidale Stud and was the lone representative for her sire at the 2010 Tasmanian Magic Millions yearling sale where she was knocked down for $28,000.
Nadeem’s progeny have hit the ground running with two winners and two placegetters from his first four runners this season. Bengal Angel opened his account at Port Macquarie on October 9.
Nadeem (Redoute’s Choice) was trained by David Hayes for Sheikh Hamdan and he was a precocious juvenile winning the G3 Maribyrnong Plate during the 2005 Melbourne spring carnival. He returned the following autumn to annex the G1 Blue Diamond Stakes from Miss Finland and Wonderful World.
Triple Asset comes from the family of G1 Golden Slipper winner Marauding. Her dam has a yearling filly by Churchill Downs but missed to Savoire Vivre last October.
Nadeem is standing the current season at Darley Kelvinside at a fee of $22,000 (inc gst).
