Quality filly Snipzu leads the way for a berth in the $2 million BMW Magic Millions 2YO Classic (1200m) after the first order of entry was released on Monday.
Snipzu, who runs in this Saturday’s $100,000 Calaway Gal Stakes at Eagle Farm, has earned $84,000 from three runs and is the top qualifier at this stage for Queensland’s richest race.
Snipzu (2f Snippetson – Pilgrim by Danehill) is trained by Liam Birchley and she was an $80,000 purchase from Yarramalong Park at the 2011 Gold Coast Magic Millions.
Yarramalong Park has catalogued a Real Saga half-brother to Snipzu as a Lot 199 at the 2012 Magic Millions. Their dam Pilgrim is a half-sister to G1 STC Ranvet Stakes winner Arkady.
Snipzu was runner-up to Hussousa in the LR Gimcrack Stakes at Randwick in October before returning home to win two in a row at Eagle Farm by a combined margin of 10 lengths!
