Group 1 winners Equiano and Super Saver will headline a first-season stallion parade at Caulfield racecourse on Thursday evening.
Equiano (Acclamation) stands at Swettenham Stud and Super Saver (Maria’s Mon) at Eliza Park. Both stallions have been priced at $16,500 (inc gst).
Swettenham recruit Equiano is one of the finest European sprinters to stand in Victoria. Last year, he became a rare two-time winner of the historic King’s Stand Stakes (1000m) at Royal Ascot.
Super Saver was a decisive winner of the 2010 Kentucky Derby beating incoming Coolmore shuttler Lookin At Lucky by two lengths.
They will share the spotlight at Caulfield with four local performers making stud debuts in Victoria this year.
Stryker (Fastnet Rock) is foundation sire at Three Bridges, Dissolved (Lonhro) joins Super Saver at Eliza Park, Keano (Pins) will be based at Salamander Park and Solo Flyer (Belong to Me) at Carin Park.
They will parade in the Caulfield mounting yard area from 5.30pm.
In addition to their appearance at Caulfield, Super Saver will be on show at Eliza Park on Friday and Equiano will be paraded at Swettenham this Sunday.
