Dubleanny (4m Dubleo – Uncanny Lady by Canny Lad) was purchased from Murrulla Stud at the 2008 Gold Coast Magic Millions for $65,000. The Mick Price trainer mare is a first crop daughter of Vinery’s USA bred sire Dubleo and has earned over $460,000 from 8 wins in 15 starts.
Dubleo (Southern Halo) was a G2 winner of the Summer Stakes at Woodbine and G3 Generous Stakes at Hollywood Park. He is by More Than Ready’s sire Southern Halo out of a Secretariat half sister to leading USA Sire Rubiano and the dam of Champion USA First Season Sire Tapit.
In Macau, Dubleo youngster Oriental Taste led home a Magic Millions trifecta in the Listed Lisboa Juvenile last week. The Gary Moore trained gelding made it 5 wins from 10 starts when he won the M$450,000 feature event.
Oriental Taste (3g Dubleo – Horas by Racing is Fun) was purchased by Moore and agent John Hutchinson for $52,500 when offered by Vinery Stud at the 2009 Magic Millions National yearling sale. The gelding is raced by Gui Sheng Yue.
Runner-up Northern Champion (Mugharreb) was purchased from the Riverside Stud draft at the 2009 Adelaide Magic Millions for just $2,250. Third home Winner Winner (Starcraft) was a $52,500 buy from the 2009 Magic Millions National HIT Sale.
Oriental Taste had defeated his stablemate Winner Winner in the Listed Lisboa Prelude in April. His dam Horas is a three quarter sister to G1 winner Fun on the Run who is the dam of NA G1 winning filly Tall Poppy.
Magic Millions graduates in Macau include the feature winners Viva Pronto, Good Control, Dr Sweet, Golden Star and Luen Yat Forever.
Dubleo has two weanlings catalogued for the upcoming Magic Millions National weanling sale including a half sister to Hong Kong Group winner Slow Waltz. There are also 12 mares catalogued for the National Sale who were covered by Dubleo last spring.
