Street Cry sire at Allandale Park

Street Cry stallion Martin Place is serving his first mares at Allandale Park this spring.  Studmaster John Todd stands him with five other stallions at the high country stud which is situated south-west of Bathurst

Martin Place (6h Street Cry – Pasha’s Honor by Hero’s Honor) was trained by Rod Northam to win five races from 1200m to 1900m including two in a row at Canterbury and Randwick last year.

“If you geld him, he could be anything!” Jim Cassidy said after Martin Place ran a class record at Randwick.  But his connections resisted the temptation even though he had his mind on other things.

“We didn’t have the heart to cut him,” owner Anand Adiyodi said.  “His pedigree is too good.”

Martin Place is bred on the outstanding Street Cry – Northern Dancer cross.  His sire Street Cry stands for $110,000 at Darley and his dam Pasha’s Honor is half sister to Doulab who was a UK Group winner of the Gimcrack Stakes and Cornwallis Stakes.

Pasha’s Honor’s sisters have fared extremely well at stud producing the likes of Champion American 2YO Chilukki.  She also hails from the family of highly successful NZ stallion Pompeii Court.

Martin Place stands for a $3,300 (inc gst) alongside Barbajuan (Danehill Dancer), Diogenes (Marscay), Annenkov (Danehill), Assafa (Danehill) and Carry the Crown (Carry the Crown).
