The Michael Freedman trained colt Super Easy (NZ) made a brilliant Singapore debut with a five length victory on Sunday night.  He clocked 58.68 for 1000m.

Super Easy (3c Darci Brahma – Parfore by Gold Brose) began his racing career under New Zealand trainer John Sargent and won on debut at Trentham beating the tough filly Planet Rock (Fastnet Rock).

The gelding was beaten a nose by Anabandana (Anabaa) at his next start in the G3 Eclipse Stakes and then finished a brave fourth in the Karaka Million after being trapped wide.

Super Easy was coming off a six month break and he travelled beautifully in front at Kranji.  “He’s a horse that has some good scope about him,” Freedman said.  “He could be a lovely horse for the Three-Year-Old Series next year.”

Super Easy is from the first crop of the five-time Group 1 winning son of Danehill in Darci Brahma.  His initial crop also includes LR Fernhill Handicap winner Darci Be Good.

Super Easy was offered by Esker Lodge at the 2010 Karaka Premier Sale where he was purchased by Blue Sky Thoroughbreds for $140,000.  Raced by the Joy N Happiness Stable, Super Easy has now taken his stakes earnings to almost $100,000 from only four race starts.

He is a half-brother to five-time Australian stakes-winner Our Lukas (Generous).  Their dam Parfore has a 2yo colt named Terravista (Captain Rio) and a yearling colt by Dubawi.
