Supreme team double in South Africa

Romsey-based Supreme Thoroughbreds was represented by its second South African winning graduate within a month on Sunday.

Starcraft Prince won a 1200m maiden down the straight course at Scottsville for owner Trinisha Pillay and trainer Kumaran Naidoo.  He had been sidelined for twelve months before returning to action with a placing at Scottsville earlier this season.

The four year-old gelding was a $45,000 buy for Heritage Bloodstock out of the Supreme consignment at 2013 Inglis Melbourne Premier yearling sale.

Rosemont Stud resident Starcraft sired him from Truly Kissed (Carnegie) who is a half-sister to G2 VRC Blazer Stakes winner Vormista.

Recent Greyville winner Ten Gun Salute (Henrythenavigator) was another Supreme sale to Heritage Bloodstock at the 2014 Inglis Classic Summer Sale.  The winning double follows a Myboycharlie filly that topped the South African 2YO Sale in October.  She had been pin-hooked from the Romsey nursery for $30,000 at this year’s Inglis Classic Sale.

The Supreme team has catalogued 34 lots – its largest ever consignment – for the 2016 Inglis Melbourne Premier Sale.
