A Tale Of The Cat colt topped the general section of foals at the Inglis Weanling Sale on Thursday.  Holbrook Thoroughbreds sold the colt from Summer Angel for $42,000.

The Day 2 sales added another $637,000 to Wednesday’s trade of select foals to increase total receipts to more than $4.50 million.

The Select Session Broodmares were also offered on Thursday with Fastnet Rock mare Teardrop Rock topping proceedings at $125,000.  She was presented by Newgate Farm as agent and was purchased by Think Big Stud.

Next best on the leader-board was Eliza Park who was sold in foal to Fastnet Rock for $82,500.  The Scenic mare is already the dam of G3 winner Gabbidon.  In all 76 broodmares changed hands on Thursday for $966,600 at a clearance rate of 81%.

Friday’s third and final session includes 75 General Session Broodmares, 124 yearlings and 60 racehorses.
