The quality packed catalogue for the Magic Millions 2010 Tasmanian yearling sale is now online. The Inveresk Showgrounds sale ring will see 160 yearlings go under the hammer on February 23.
Sires represented in the 2010 sale include local stars like West Quest, Savoire Vivre, Partners Choice, Telesto and Tough Speed. Interstate based sires such as Magic Albert, Snippetson, God’s Own, Hold That Tiger, Gonski, Strada, Dash for Cash, Choisir, Bianconi, Al Maher, Canny Lad and Reset are also represented.
Savoire Vivre, a group performer by Sadler’s Wells, is the most represented sire with 23 yearlings set to go under the hammer. One of those 23 could be the sire’s next stakes winners and follow in the hoofsteps of recent stars including Life to the Full, Rustia and Vivre la Nett.
The honour of kicking away the Tasmanian Sale in 2010 goes to a lovely Mr Innocent filly from Park Crest Stud. The chestnut filly is the second foal of a five time winning blood sister to Brakim Lass and three quarter sister to Braequest.
Tasmanian bred and sold youngsters continue to notch up wins right around the country. One of the state’s and sale’s best recent advertisements is the grand mare Lady Lynette – a nine time winning daughter of Ladoni.
During the spring carnival she won the listed Ladies Day Vase at Caulfield and the Group Three Tesio Stakes at Moonee Valley before beating all but star mare Typhoon Tracy in the Group 1 Myer Classic. The $13,000 Tasmanian sale purchase has now earned over $435,000 from just 22 starts. Her yearling half brother by Telesto has been catalogued as Lot 47.
Also catalogued for sale are (at least) half relations to stakes winners including Braequest, Brakim Lass, Danzippo, Esterel, Ionacolumba, King’s Scholar, Lochi, Lyell, Private Nip, Shades of Stubborn, Strait Dash, Vivre la Nett, Wobbley and Young Centaur.
Stakes winning mares Aerobics, All Stealth, Dartington, Escapada, Gehenna, Genuine Blonde, Johanna’s Lady, Prima Cornice, Private Nip, Quit Smokin’, Shades of Stubborn and Wexford all have yearlings in the catalogue.
