The catalogue for the 2014 Tasmanian Magic Millions yearling sale is now online. Comprising 95 yearlings, it will be held at Inveresk Showground on Thursday, February 13.
Apart from local sires Incumbent, Ladoni, West Quest, Tough Speed and Savoire Vivre, there are numerous interstate stallions the calibre of Written Tycoon, Bushranger, Hard Spun, Husson and Magnus represented in the catalogue.
With yearlings raised in some of the cleanest and freshest environments in the world, Tasmanian-bred horses like Lake Sententia, Queenstown, Norsqui, Banca Mo, Bia Diamond, Black ‘N’ Tough and North Lodge have continued to perform at the highest level over the past 12 months.
“Tasmanian breeders have certainly raised the bar for the 2014 Magic Millions,” TasBreeders President Robert Eastoe said. “In reviewing recent yearling sales, the challenge to our breeders was to improve the draft from a quality and confirmation perspective.”
The largest draft comes from Grenville Stud with 27 yearlings, followed by Armidale Stud (22) and Brooklyn Park (18).
Multiple champion sire West Quest (Can) has 20 lots on offer and first-season stallions Super Saver (USA) and Reward For Effort have yearlings catalogued.
Horses will be available for inspection from Tuesday, February 11 at the Inveresk Showground in Launceston.
The Sale will follow the Magic Millions race night in Launceston on Wednesday, February 12 featuring the $50,000 Brooklyn Park Magic Millions 2YO Classic (1200m) and $50,000 TasBreeders Magic Millions 3YO Classic (1200m).
