A select catalogue of over 70 racehorses will go under the hammer at the 2011 Magic Millions Racehorse Sale during January’s famous carnival at the Gold Coast.
The sale will be held from 1pm (Qld time) on Tuesday, January 18 and features a 31 horse draft from the Williams family’s Hudson Conway Racing from Melbourne.
The last time the family sold proven racehorses at the Gold Coast they sold the exciting staying prospect Hume for $22,000. He featured in a number of big races including an eye catching second at G2 level to subsequent Melbourne Cup winner Shocking. He was also a stakes winner in Brisbane.
Other vendors with large drafts include Darley and Patinack Farm with 13 and 10 lots respectively.
The sale features stakes winner Tindal, city winners Unpaid, Well Satisfied, Camber d’Orsay, Commanche Warrior, Dats Ma Gal, Heirachy, Interlocking, Irel, Maling and Model as well as proven multiple winners Sconandtink, Tycoon Cat, Baron, Downes, Getaway Plan, Honourable Aussie, Morley and Napier.
There are also a number of lightly raced or unraced prospects to go under the hammer in a great opportunity for racehorse owners around the country. Two of the entries – Interlocking and Irel – are in the field for tomorrow’s listed Bagot Handicap at Flemington.
The 2011 Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale commmences with Session One from 11am (Qld time) on Wednesday, January 12.
