Darley has cut the covering fees for many of its stallions based in Japan for the 2011 breeding season. Admire Moon, Deep Sky, Fantastic Light and Pyro have all had their fees reduced by between 10% and 25%.
The fee for Australian bred Danehill sire Commands is unchanged. Storming Home, the sire of Victorian Derby winner Lion Tamer, is also unchanged along with Rule Of Law and Xaar.
“We are very conscious that these are difficult times for breeders and are very grateful for their ongoing support,” Shane Horan, Darley’s director of stallion operations, said. “We believe our 2011 roster offers tremendous quality and value.”
The fee for Japan Cup winner Alkaased has been slashed by 68% to 800,000 yen.
