Every Faith added her name to the list of black-type graduates from Three Bridges Thoroughbreds in the LR Laelia Stakes (1600m) at Morphettville on Saturday.
Three Bridges manager Toby Liston prepared Every Faith for the 2012 Inglis Melbourne Premier yearling sale and she made $130,000 to the bid of Barry Saunders. He races the filly with his wife Barbara, an RVL board member, and their daughter Rebecca.
Every Faith (3f Not A Single Doubt – Zephyria by Zabeel) had won a Seymour maiden in September and was only been beaten a couple of lengths in the LR Ethereal Stakes, G2 Wakeful Stakes and G1 Victorian Oaks at the spring carnival.
“She let down and rounded up the leaders in a tough battle,” trainer Robert Smerdon said. “She obviously needs ground as we saw in the Victorian Oaks and we will be back for another race over the Adelaide carnival.”
The G3 SA Fillies Classic (2500m) at Morphettville on May 10 is her main mission this campaign.
Every Faith’s dam Zephyria is a winning daughter of champion sire Zabeel from a family that has left several stakes winners in Europe. Zephyria has a yearling colt by Starcraft and a weanling filly by Snitzel.
Three Bridges heads to Sydney this week with three colts and two fillies for the Inglis Easter yearling sale. They are by New Approach, Exceed and Excel, Street Cry, I Am Invincible and Denman.
