Timetable – Bred to Win – Saturday, 5 December 2009

Imported gelding Timetable can win his third race in Australia at Caulfield on Saturday.  The Lee Freedman trained galloper has been entered for the Carpet Call Cup (Race 7 at 4.45pm AEDT).

Timetable (5g Observatory – Clepsydra by Sadler’s Wells) raced for Juddmonte Farms and won at Redcar and Doncaster last year before selling for 45,000 gns (AUD ) at the 2008 Tattersalls HIT Sale last October.

He is a half-brother to Passage Of Time (Dansili) who won the G1 Criterium de Saint-Cloud and G3 Musidora Stakes at York.

Freedman gave him a short prep in the autumn while taking time to let him acclimatise.  He won first-up over a mile at Morphettville in September and added another over 2000m at Caulfield on One Thousand Guineas day.

Timetable was always in the firing line when fourth home behind Raffaello at Flemington on the final day of the Melbourne Cup carnival.  He was a beaten favourite that day and Saturday’s field isn’t particularly stronger.  Dropping back a furlong to 1800m and being weighted near the limit with Jason Maskiell’s claim will also help.
