Top 2YO by Husson in Argentina

Patinack Farm’s unbeaten stallion Husson has sired one of the top two year-olds in Argentina this season.

Lady Hussy (2f  Husson – Tula by Forlitano) completed a winning hat-trick in the LR Clasico Eusonio C. Boni in Beunos Aires on July 7.

The Marcelo Sueldo trained filly has gone from strength-to-strength since winning her maiden at San Isidro on Good Friday.

Lady Hussy stepped up a gear for the San Isidro Million Final (1000m) on May 21.  She cruised up to the leaders half-way down the straight course and cleared out to win by 8 lengths in a sizzling 55.70s

Sent out a $1.20 favourite for the Clasico Eusonio C. Boni (1100m) across town at La Plata last Thursday, Lady Hussy led from the outset and was always in control to win by two lengths in 1.04.65s.

Lady Hussy’s dam Tula has already thrown winners by Tropical Thunder (Polish Navy) and Lord Card (Lord Hailey).  Second-dam Forli’s Princess (Forli) is a three-quarter-sister to G1 Hollywood Derby winner Intrepid Hero.

Husson (Arg) has sired 3 first-crop winners and 7 placegetters from 13 starters this season.  He is a son of international sire influence Hussonet and was Argentina’s Champion 2YO Colt in 2006 & Champion Miler in 2007.

Husson’s first southern bred yearlings sold to $100,000 at the 2011 majors.  He stands for a $22,000 fee at Patinack Farm.
